This newly-released update fixes various improper behaviors

Just now, Ricoh has rolled out firmware version 1.03 developed for its G800SE digital camera, which fixes FTP transfer bugs, wireless connection issues, as well as other problems that might have bothered you until now.

Specifically speaking, this new update fixes the bug that didn’t allow the camera to send an image file when FTP transfer folder was specified from root directory.

In addition to that, the issue where Ricoh’s camera couldn’t connect to some Access Points when there were multiple such devices within a wireless network has also been resolved.

Last but not least, if you apply firmware 1.03, “Auto Power Off” and “Monitor Auto Off Display” setting values won’t automatically be changed to “Off” when “Connect Power On” option is enabled.

When it comes to installing this release, first of all check your camera’s current firmware and make sure it isn’t either newer or matching this version. To do so, simply press and hold both Down Arrow and Playback buttons for a few seconds while the device is off.

If all is ok, save and extract the downloadable zip archive, transfer the firmware file from within onto a formatted SD card (must be initialized using your camera), and press and hold Up Arrow and Playback buttons (also while camera is powered off) to enter update mode.

Now, select “Yes” to initiate the upgrade, wait for the device to do its job, and turn your camera back off upon completion. Also, it would be a good idea to check the currently installed version once more.

With this in mind, download Ricoh G800SE Camera Firmware 1.03, apply it on your device, and enjoy the changes and improvements that this new release brings about.
