The 1.34 update includes a few changes that should improve the camera’s stability

Ricoh has just announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its G700SE digital camera, namely version 1.34, which brings a few changes that improve the unit’s overall stability.

Specifically speaking, the new update resolves an issue that caused the camera to stop working when an access point disconnected at the same time the G700SE tried to initiate a wireless connection.

In addition to that, the 1.34 firmware also resolves the problem where, when sending files to a computer using the Bluetooth technology and the “Auto Delete” and “Quick Send Mode” options are set to “On” and “Auto,” respectively, the sent files would remain in the camera’s storage.

If you intend to update the unit’s software to this version, get and unzip the downloadable archive, format an SD card using the camera, and copy the “ulaunch3” file from within the newly-created folder onto the root of the memory card.

Now, make sure the camera is turned off, insert the SD card, and then press and hold the menu up and playback buttons for about 3 seconds. At this point, the device should recognize the update and ask for permission to initiate the upgrade process – select “Yes” and wait for the firmware to be applied.

When the installation has finished and the camera has rebooted, simply turn off the device, remove the memory card, and check the currently installed software version to ensure that the update has been successful.

That being said, download Ricoh G700SE Digital Camera Firmware 1.34, prepare an SD card, and apply the present firmware on your device. Also, constantly check with our website in order to stay up to date with the latest releases.
