Prestigio has outed a new firmware package developed for its MultiPad 4 Ultra Quad 8.0 3G tablet, namely version 1.0.11, which can be installed either manually or over-the-air (OTA).

The newly released version includes various small stability fixes, updates the shutdown animation and several of its applications, and resolves the Contacts bug.

As for applying this fresh update, you can choose between an OTA upgrade, which needs a stable Internet connection for the firmware to be downloaded, or a manual installation, which implies a personal computer and a way to transfer the needed files onto the tablet.

If the OTA method is desired, then go to Settings → About Tablet → System Updates → Check Now, wait for the tablet to find the update, select “Accept” in order to get the firmware, and follow the on-screen instructions displayed after the new version has finished downloading.

On the other hand, for the manual upgrade, you need to get and extract the downloadable archive, transfer the “update.zip” file from the newly created folder onto the tablet via USB cable or SD card, and make sure the device is turned off.

If checked, power the tablet back on while holding the “Vol+” button in order to enter Recovery mode, and select “Apply update from sdcard” or “Apply update from sdcard2” if you have copied the update file onto the internal memory or SD card, respectively.

Navigate to the firmware file using the “Vol-” button, select it with “Vol+,” wait for the tablet to apply the update, and press again the “Vol+” button when the installation has finished in order to reboot the device.

That being said, download Firmware 1.0.11 for Prestigio MultiPad 4 Ultra Quad 8.0 3G Tablet, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the new firmware version, and enjoy your newly updated device.
