Today, Pioneer outed a new firmware package targeted at its XDJ-AERO and XDJ-AERO-W DJ controllers, namely version 3.00, which can be installed regardless of the operating system.

If applied, this fresh update will add support for the Remote Control feature that is available when using a rekordbox for Android or iOS mobile devices. This gives users the possibility the control the unit’s features, Auto Beat Loop, CUE, Play, and Effect.

As for updating, get and extract the downloadable archive and copy the “XDJAERO.UPD” file to the root folder of a USB drive. Afterwards, make sure the unit is powered off and no device is connected to it, and turn it on while pressing the “TRANS” and ROLL” buttons.

Keep holding until the “UPDATE” message is shown, and insert the stick into the controller’s USB port. At this point, the device will automatically start the process while showing the progress bar, and when it finishes, it will enter in standby mode automatically.

That being said, download Firmware 3.00 for Pioneer XDJ-AERO or download Firmware 3.00 for Pioneer XDJ-AERO-W depending on which device you own, apply it to the controller, and enjoy your newly updated Pioneer product.
