Pioneer has just made available new firmware updates developed for its DJM-900 DJ controller series, through which the noise-related issue that was occasionally heard in the audio I/O on some computers (from the USB port) is fixed.

The producer’s release consists of the new 1.31 version compatible with the DJM-900NXS, DJM-900NXS-W, and DJM-900NXS Platinum Edition DJ mixers and the 1.12 firmware targeted at the DJM-900SRT Serato DJ Edition controller.

In addition to that, each product-related firmware version includes two separate download records, one compatible with Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, and the other one suitable for Mac OS platforms.

When it comes to installing the new version, you should first check the currently installed firmware so that it isn’t newer or the same with the one you are about to apply.

To do that, you must press the Power button while holding the CUE and ON/OFF buttons from the BEAT EFFECT (in order to enter update mode), select “Current Version” from the next menu, and the version should be displayed on the VFD screen.

So, if the present firmware is newer than your current one, then get the downloadable package and make sure to precisely follow the DJM-900NXS Update Guide or the DJM-900SRT Update Guide (depending on which device you own).

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Pioneer device and computer‘s OS, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the new firmware, and enjoy your newly updated DJ Controller.
