Today, Pioneer has made available a new firmware package targeted at its DDJ-SR controller, namely version 1.02, which contains fixes and improvements that raise the device’s overall performance.

Specifically speaking, package 1.02 fixes the track’s BPM values display problem that wouldn’t sync on DDJ-SR and Serato DJ in Pad Plus mode, and the one where some of the LEDs didn’t turn on when a track was loaded.

In addition to that, the velocity curve for Sampler Velocity mode is enhanced, the TransPad function is improved, and the problem with the Filter in Combo FX mode that worked involuntarily when Pad 4 or 8 was pressed is now resolved.

As for installing the firmware, turn off the DDJ-SR, connect it to the computer, and get and extract the downloadable archive. Now turn on the player, and from the left deck, hold the “Shift” and “Sync” buttons until the LED level meter starts flashing.

When the jar file is found, the player will display a dialog and start installing the firmware, but not before you give it permission to do that through the window’s “Start” button. The upgrade process takes a few minutes, and when it completes, press the “Ok” button, and make sure you restart the device.

That being said, follow the link below, download and extract the package, and update the player’s firmware variant.
