3 of Pioneer’s digital mixers, namely the DJM-850-K, DJM-850-W, and DJM-850-S players, benefit from a new firmware, version 1.10, which improves the devices’ overall performance.

The release consists of separate download records that are compatible with both MAC platforms, as well as all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems (both bit-versions).

The new firmware adds the Peak Limiter function, resolves the clicking noise problem that sometimes was heard when switching the source from CD/LINE to PHONO, and fixes an issue where the resonance of BEAT EFFECT is not output from REC OUT under certain conditions.

As for installing this latest version, connect your DJM-850 device to the computer through a USB cable, and go into update mode by pressing the power button while holding “CUE (BEAT EFFECT)” and “ON/OFF (BEAT EFFECT)” buttons.

Now, close all running applications and open the “DJM850_v110.exe” file from within the downloadable archive; select the desired language, check the update version to be newer than the one already installed, and click on the start button.

At this point, the update process starts, so make sure you don’t interfere with it until the upgrade completes (the progress bar finishes). When the upgrade is successful and the proper dialog is displayed, turn off the mixer and power it back on so that the changes take effect.

So now, knowing all the changes that have been made, as well as how to update the firmware, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the one that best describes both your Pioneer mixer and your operating system.
