Phase One has just made available the 1.03 firmware package developed for its new IQ250 digital back, which adds support for 256 GB and larger capacity CF cards and improves the unit’s overall stability and performance.

In addition to that, the present release includes a more fluid and responsive high-quality Live View feature, allows the device to use exposure times between 1/4,000 sec and 1 hour, and gives 645DF+ camera systems the ability to capture 1.2 frames per second.

If the IQ250 is upgraded, high-quality images can be captured using ISO settings from 100 to 6,400 and a new focus meter with up to three simultaneous Live View focusing areas will be available in tethered mode.

Moreover, the present version also includes Wi-Fi support for several features using Capture Pilot App, such as remote capture control, Geo-tagging of images, and full Live View (compatible external devices required).

As for installing this release, just save and extract the downloadable file, initialize a CF card using the IQ250 unit, and transfer all extracted files onto the root folder of the newly-prepared memory card.

If everything is ok, simply go to Menu > Firmware > Update Firmware and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation. Also, upon completion, make sure to turn off the digital back and remove the memory card.

That being said, download Phase One IQ250 Digital Back Firmware 1.03, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the package, and constantly check our website in order to find out when a newer version is available.
