Panasonic has just announced a new firmware update for its AW-HE60 network cameras. The recent release is addressed to the AW-HE60S and AW-HE60H, where the “S” and “H” stand for SDI and HDMI connection, respectively.

Version 1.04 comes with a lot of improvements and you can view the full release notes at any of the links below.

The installation procedure starts with the download and extraction of the three files from the zip archive. Save them to an accessible location.

Next, turn on the AW-HE60 and check for the PC connecting to a local network. Start a web browser (some issues were reported with Internet Explorer) and type 192.168.0.10 in the address bar. Note that this is the default IP address of the camera.

Now you should be looking at the camera web setting screen. Click the “setup” button and log in with your credentials. If it's the first time doing so, the default values of the username and password are “admin” and “12345.”

Select “Maintenance” in the setup menu and click on the “Product info” tab to see which firmware version you have installed. This iteration contains the 3.06 camera main, 4.04 network, and 3.12 EEPROM updates.

Browse for the downloaded files and click the “Execute” button. To start updating, prompt the next screen as well and be patient. The installation will take around 13 minutes.

Below is the link to the new firmware. Look twice and choose the correct release for your model. Install it and stay “updated one minute ago.”
