Just now, simultaneously with the release of the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Camera, the producer has made available a new firmware package targeted at its OM-D E-M5 digital camera, namely version 2.0.

This fresh update adds a small AF target to the feature’s settings and expands the ISO LOW on the low sensitivity side.

As for installing the latest version, the release consists of two downloadable records compatible with both Windows (XP, Vista, and 7) and Mac (10.3 and later) platforms, which cannot apply an earlier firmware version than the one already installed.

So, get the proper firmware updater, make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, remove the camera’s memory card, and run the newly downloaded file; read the terms, connect the E-M5 to the computer via USB cable, and click on the “Next” button.

Now wait for the utility to search for the 2.0 firmware version, click “Update” when the latest firmware is displayed, select “Yes” at the next pop-up, agree with the “Software License Agreement,” and wait for the process to complete.

When it finishes, the camera’s display will show an “OK” message. You must click the “Next” button, disconnect the E-M5, and close the utility – now the camera is now updated to the latest firmware.

That being said, download Olympus E-M5 Camera Firmware 2.0 for the proper operating system, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the package, and enjoy your newly updated digital camera.
