Bringing back drivers for old motherboards and notebooks to make people happy

We promised you that we're staring up a new line of blogs, dedicated to bringing a smile on the face of readers still operating older PCs.

Well, here we are with our second post relating to old motherboards, and old notebooks will follow soon as we get a better grip on the matter. Please don't be shy to ask for drivers for your old computers; we will look for them and have them listed on our website.

We're going to do this at a rather steady pace, due to the amount of new drivers we have to deal with, already. But asking for help (with detailed info on your devices) is better than doing nothing, anyway.

Today's "vintage star" is a Gigabyte motherboard going by the name GA-8I848P775-G, and we have listed drivers for the revision 1.1. The GA-8I848P775-G is an Intel LGA777-socket board, most likely released in 2005 or 2006, powered by Pentium 4 processors. So if, you happen to need drivers for this motherboard or know someone who does, we're here for you.

We'll diversify the manufacturers' list as we are building up a database of older gear, and hopefully will get to help a lot of users. Even more, we plan to host these drivers on our servers as well, so they'll "live forever."

Download the drivers for Gigabyte GA-8I848P775-G (rev. 1.1).
