One nice piece of news for the Nvidia users comes directly from Manuel Guzman, Technical Advisor for said company.

On the official Nvidia forum, Mr. Guzman has replied to some users' questions related to certain driver issues and promised new driver release before the end of the year. Since there have been errors reported with the GTX 590 cards and the current drivers, users were asking about the R290 WHQL release.

TDR (Timeout Detection and Recovery) issues are said to be solved in the imminent December release, even though not all the problems will be eliminated in this release. Manuel Guzman declared that the January release will most likely address all the reported TDR troubles in end user cards.

At the same time, the EDID DMT timings of some monitors such as the Dell U2410 will receive fixes in the new driver so the newest gaming titles like Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2 will run smoothly. Stay tuned for more, as we'll post the new Nvidia drivers as soon as they surface.
