The new update resolves a memory card-related issue

Nikon has just rolled out a new firmware package developed for its D3200 digital cameras, namely version C:1.04, which resolves an issue encountered when trying to use a compatible memory card.

Specifically speaking, this bug either caused the memory card access lamp to light longer than normal or displayed an improper message saying that the card was damaged when trying to use it.

Therefore, if you have experienced this problem, save and run the appropriate package for your operating system (available for both Mac OS X and Windows platforms), enter the newly created “D3200Update” folder, and locate the “D3200_0104.bin” file.

Afterwards, copy the firmware .bin file onto a formatted memory card (it must be initialized using your D3200), make sure your camera’s battery is fully charged, power off the device, and connect the prepared card.

Now, simply turn on the D3200 unit, go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version, and follow all instructions displayed on screen for a complete and successful upgrade. Once finished, your device will automatically shut down.

Last but not least, after Nikon’s camera has turned off, make sure to remove the memory card, and if you want to ensure that the firmware has been applied properly, it would also be a good idea to check the currently installed version.

That being said, download Nikon D3200 Firmware C:1.04, apply it on your camera, and check our website as often as possible, as we’ll keep you posted if any newer version is available for download.
