Just now, Nikon has made available a new firmware package targeted at its COOLPIX L830 digital camera, namely version 1.1, which fixes an issue encountered in rare cases where the device couldn't recover from a lens error even if the camera was restarted.

When it comes to updating to this version, the producer has provided two downloadable packages: one .exe file compatible with Microsoft's Windows Vista, 7, and 8.1 operating systems, and one .dmg file targeted at Mac OSes.

In order to successfully perform the update, you should first check the currently installed firmware by going to Menu → Setup → Firmware Version, and make sure that the version isn’t either newer or matching the present release.

If the camera can assimilate this new version, then get and run the appropriate package for your system OS, copy the newly-created “firmware” folder onto a memory card initialized by the camera, and power up the device.

Now, insert the memory card into the L830, go to the “Firmware Version” section once more and follow the instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

When finished, turn off the camera, remove the memory card, and check the currently installed firmware to ensure that the new software has been applied properly.

That being said, download Nikon COOLPIX L830 Camera Firmware 1.1, apply it on your device, and constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
