Panasonic has just released a new firmware update for its AG-HMR10 and AG-MDR15 portable HD recorders. Version 1.14 improves the stability of the recording process onto a UHS-I compatible SD card.

OS compatibility includes only 32-bit versions Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7. For Mac users, the supported versions are OS X 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 for Intel Mac only.

The update procedure is common and implies downloading and unzipping the archive available at the links below. Simply run the HMR10 or MDR15 executable after you've connected the device via USB and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please make sure you don't turn the device off or remove the USB cable before the installation is complete. If your update fails (this means that you will see a window that clearly mentions it), don't panic. Simply power off the device and then start over.
