After only one day since the EVGA Z87 Classified BIOS 1.08 has been released, the producer has just made available two new BIOS packages targeted at its Z87 Stinger and FTW motherboards, namely version 1.08 and 1.10, respectively.

Besides the new 4th-generation Intel Core processors support that has also been added to the Z87 Classified unit, these fresh updates include other changes as well.

Specifically speaking, EVGA’s release improves the CPU compatibility, removes the EVGA ELEET Ratio option, and resolves the RTC time issue that loaded the default values when the CMOS was cleared.

In addition to that, the Z87 FTW unit also gets the NumLock problem fixed that was encountered during post, and the Z87 Stinger motherboard can now perform the post even if the PCH voltage is below 1V.

When it comes to applying these updates, you should know that BIOS flashing is a risky process and this task is recommended to be performed in a steady power environment and by users that are familiar with the installation steps.

As for the installation method, you should get and extract the proper downloadable package, close all programs that might interfere with the update, run the “update.bat” file from the newly created folder, and press “Y” to initiate the process.

Now wait for the installation to complete and make sure you don’t turn off or reboot the system while the flash is in progress. When the process has completed, enter the BIOS setup to check if the installation has been successful and load the default settings.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your EVGA motherboard, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the new update, and enjoy your newly improved Z87 unit.
