New BIOS Updates Available for Several ASRock Motherboards

Today, ASRock has announced the availability of new BIOS packages targeted at several of its motherboards that add support for Intel’s Core i7-4790K and i5-4690K CPUs, as well as for the Pentium G3258 and G3258 EZ OC processors.

In addition to that, the new releases adjust the Intel Smart Connect Technology and shared memory settings, update the Instant Flash Module, and include support for target TDP (only on FM2+ APUs).

Moreover, updates for the CPU microcode, EZ OC table, PXE ROM, Agesa code, and Intel Management Engine are also included within these new versions.

When it comes to the compatible motherboards, the producer has managed to update the BIOS build for the H97M Pro4 (1.20), H97 Pro4 (1.40), FM2A78M-ITX+ (1.50), and H81M (1.70) units, as well as for the H87 Pro4 (2.10), Z87 Extreme3 (2.50), and Z87 Pro3 (2.90) devices.

In addition to that, while the 2.30 BIOS version is available for the H87M, FM2A88X-ITX+, and B85M products, the H87E-ITX/ac, H81M-DGS, and FM2A58M-VG3+ motherboards can be upgraded to the 1.80 BIOS variant.
