Neptune Systems, an American aquarium equipment manufacturer, has recently released a new firmware update for its Apex series controllers. Version 4.30 is one of the most important releases ever to come out from Neptune Systems.

It bundles a lot of new features, as well as support for new modules like the Automatic Feeding System (AFS) and the AI Wireless Module (AWM), enhancements to the Wireless Expansion Module (WXM) and most important, Apex Fusion – Neptune System’s cloud-based aquarium monitoring and control solution.

With this release comes the addition of a “Help” menu on the dashboard, as well as a new AFS programming wizard. You can now control your pumps and lights, vary feedings by time of day or day of week or even suspend feedings if certain probe values are exceeded.

The new update comes in both Windows and Mac versions and the archive you will download at the links below contains the installation notes as well as a firmware update utility.
