Just now, NVIDIA has made available a new GRID Virtual GPU graphics driver, namely version 332.83, which is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems (both 32- and 64-bit architectures), as well as with the Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2012 R2 platforms.

This newly released package includes GRID Virtual GPU Manager version 331.59, provides Citrix XenServer support for NVIDIA’s GRID K1 and K2 cards, and supports OpenGL 4.4 and DirectX 11.1 technologies.

In addition to that, the present release includes support for nView and NVWMI on all vGPUs, adds Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 platforms to the compatible OSes thanks to the included signed drivers, and brings various fixes.

Moreover, the 332.83 package adds additional GRID profiles for the K120Q and K220Q vGPUs with 512MB frame buffer.

However, there is still a remaining problem to be solved, namely the one where the Windows Media Player video occasionally freezes or goes blank after a few iterations when connected to a vGPU-enabled VM using Citrix XenDesktop.

As for installing this release, simply get and extract the proper package for your system’s bit variant, run the setup from the newly created folder, and follow the on-screen instructions for a complete installation. Moreover, in order to avoid any problems, make sure you carefully read and understand the user guide included in the archive.

That being said, download NVIDIA GRID VGPU Graphics Driver 332.83, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the new version, and enjoy your newly updated system.
