NVIDIA has provided its users with a new GeForce graphics driver, namely version 344.80 beta, which is basically a hotfix package that resolves a few issues spotted on the producer’s GeForce GTX 980 graphics cards.

Specifically speaking, this new update fixes a problem where this card would display texture shimmering when Texture Filtering Quality is set to High Quality, as well as the issue where GPUs would show fuzzy lines over DisplayPort.

In addition to that, NVIDIA’s 344.80 beta release also resolves the bug that caused GTX 980 system configurations to hang up and black screen after powering on with some DP1.2 & 4K/60Hz monitors.

If you intend to apply this new update, you should know that it is available for both desktop and notebook systems that are powered by one of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems (both bit variants). However, Vista isn’t supported by notebook configurations.

As for applying the package, simply save the proper downloadable file on your hard drive and perform the installation like any other previous version: run the driver and follow the on-screen instructions.

Just like any other update, after the driver has been upgraded, make sure to perform a system reboot in order to allow all changes to take effect.

That being said, download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 344.80 Beta, apply it, and constantly check our website in order to be aware when a newer version is available.
