NETGEAR has made available a new RAIDiator firmware package targeted at most of its ReadyNAS devices, namely version 4.2.26, which improves the compatible network storages’ overall performance.

This fresh update is compatible with NETGEAR’s ReadyNAS 1500, 2100, 3100, 3200, and 4200 storage series, can be installed on the ReadyNAS Ultra 2, 2 Plus, 4, 4 Plus, 6, and 6 Plus devices, and is also suitable for the ReadyNAS NVX and NVX Pioneer Edition products.

In addition to that, RAIDiator version 4.2.26 can also be applied to all network storages included in the ReadyNAS Pro 2, 4, 6, Business Edition, and Pioneer Edition series.

As for the changes, the release updates the SMB service in order to resolve some possible security vulnerabilities and the RN2100V2’s network driver so that it doesn’t encounter any errors whatsoever. It also includes a fix for the new Netatalk with quota.

When it comes to limitations, the producer decided to drop support for IE 6 and to disable the snapshot resizing feature, highlighting that it would be re-enabled in future versions.

That being said, if you consider installing this update, download NETGEAR ReadyNAS RAIDiator Firmware 4.2.26, apply it, and enjoy your newly update network storage.
