NETGEAR has outed firmware version 1.1.00.22 compatible with DGND3700v2 gigabit routers, which includes support for USB feature and No-IP DNS, as well as for the producer’s DDNS.

In addition to that, this new release fixes Traffic Meter’s poll interval, the improper behavior of Genie Network Mapping, and the Genie tool reboot button that wouldn’t work, implements power save as a default function, and updates the NETGEAR logo.

Moreover, the max wireless connected devices limit has been increased to 64, VPN stability has been improved, Genie can now log into OpenDNS even after resetting the router defaults, and Safari will be able to modify the GUI language.

If the present update is applied, the router remote management bug will be removed, the “no need set tos 0” ping message won’t be displayed without reason anymore, and the ISP username and password will be able to accept “$” characters.

As for installing this firmware, save and extract the downloadable archive, connect both the router and the computer through an Ethernet cable, log into its web interface (username and pass required), go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade, and click on “Browse.”

Now, navigate and select the “DGND3700v2-V1.1.00.22_1.00.22.img” file, click “Upload,” and wait for the router to perform the installation. Do not remove the cable, turn off the router/computer, or close the web browser, as this can cause serious device malfunctions.

Therefore, in order to make use of the aforementioned improvements, download NETGEAR DGND3700v2 Router Firmware 1.1.00.22 WW, apply it on your wireless device, and enjoy the changes that this release brings about.
