MikroTik has outed a new RouterOS package, namely version 6.19, which includes a large number of changes that improve the overall performance and stability for all compatible routers, switches, access points, and several other network devices.

Specifically speaking, this new release includes wireless enhancements for the NV2 protocol and 802.11ac standard, adds a workaround that allows SSTP to work on i386, and improves performance when acquiring address without IPPool preference.

In addition to that, partition copying now works fine on all boards, the “Auto Isolate” STP has been enhanced, the DNS zone update feature problems are now history, and the DHCPv4 server supports multiple radius address lists.

If the latest RouterOS version is applied, CCR units will benefit from a greater performance, and SSTP will not use MPPE encryption anymore (neither will L2TP if IPSec is used) and it is now compatible with x86 systems.

Moreover, IPv6 can now correctly fragment large packets, dual PSU stats are added in the WinBox health menu, and multi-core MikroTik devices receive several optimizations and improvements.

Last but not least, numerous firewall rules that require CONNTRACK, use-ip-firewall, or interfere with “Slave” flags will now have an Invalid flag in certain situations, as well as an auto-comment that explains the nature of the error.

That being said, download MikroTik RouterOS 6.19 for the appropriate device, apply it on the unit, and enjoy the new changes that this latest release brings about.
