MSI has made available new BIOS versions developed for its GT70 gaming series notebooks, namely version 50H and 70H, bringing the following change: modify the resume hotkey for the S4 sleeping state.

The new versions are compatible only with the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, and are developed for MSI’s GT70 Dragon Edition 2 and GT70 Dragon Edition 2 Extreme notebooks, as well as GT70 2OC and GT70 2OD devices.

Another important aspect that I must highlight is that each compatible notebook benefits from both 50H and 70H versions, however, these package must be used with UEFI None-RAID and RAID SKUs, respectively.

Make sure you use the proper package matching your system’s configuration, because installing the wrong one might lead to an update failure, which will most likely render your device unstable.

Moreover, while applying one of the versions, know that you mustn’t shut down the device or interfere with the installation process in any way, because this might damage your notebook as well.

Therefore, if you consider upgrading, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the one that best describes your MSI GT70 device, as well as its UEFI SKU.
