The newly released driver is compatible only with Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes

Only a day after the release of the Intel Ethernet Connections CD 18.8.1 and Intel Network Adapter Driver 18.8.1, the producer has just outed the same Ethernet driver version, but this time targeted at its NUC devices.

Specifically speaking, Intel has made available a Gigabit Ethernet controller driver developed for most of its NUC units, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit builds of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

As for the compatible products, the release can be installed on Intel’s D33217CK, D33217GKE, D34010WYB, and D53427RKE NUC boards, as well as on the D54250WYB and DCP847SKE devices.

In addition to that, the D34010WYK, D54250WYK, DC3217BY, and DC3217IYE units as well as the DC53427HYE and DCCP847DYE next unit computing kits are also compatible with this latest network driver.

When it comes to changes, the producer didn’t make available any changelog whatsoever, therefore I can only assume that, if installed, the new version will improve the controllers’ overall performance and stability – but it’s up to you to find out.

That being said, download Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver 18.8.1 for Intel NUC compatible with your operating system and bit version, apply it to the unit, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
