Intel has made available another BIOS package developed for its DZ87KLT-75K desktop board, namely version 0450, which updates the fan speed control module and includes several changes that should improve the device’s overall performance.

The producer’s release fixes a bug that didn’t allow some operating systems (such as SteamOS) to boot or to be installed on the computer, and resolves the problem where the HDD’s password length didn’t match with the specification.

In addition to that, BIOS 0450 also fixes the problem with UEFI operating system that couldn’t be installed, enhances EFI variable protection, adjusts the TCWL MAX value to 10 for XMP Profiles, and resolves the issue with the XMP memory that didn’t allow the computer to boot.

This fresh update consists of 4 downloadable packages, one Recovery BIOS (.BIO format) that helps you repair the BIOS in the event of an update crash, and one Iflash BIOS (.ZIP format) which is a DOS-based file that allows you to install the new version regardless of your system’s OS.

The other two executable files (Express BIOS Updates) are Windows-based tools that will apply the 0450 BIOS version just like the Iflash BIOS, only this process must be performed under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems (a file for each bit version).

That being said, if you consider installing this latest update, download Intel DZ87KLT-75K Desktop Board BIOS 0450, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, and update your board’s BIOS version to the latest.
