Intel has made available a new BIOS package targeted at two of its next unit computing devices, namely version 0024 compatible with the DE3815TYKHE NUC kit and DE3815TYBE NUC board, which includes a large number of changes that improve performance and stability.

This fresh update resolves the issue where Windows Embedded Standard 7 systems weren’t able to enter sleep state S3, fixes problems with Wake on USB from S4 and S5 states, updates fan speed control, and adds an OS selection option in Intel Integrator Toolkit.

In addition to that, the TXE test and BIOS auto-update feature won’t crash anymore, the problems with USB ports, TPM clearing, and fan speed (when resuming from S3) are resolved, the /bmp logo files are now displayed properly, and the Intel Management disable issue is fixed.

If you upgrade to version 0024, the absence of memory modules is properly indicated, the system doesn’t hang at POST codes anymore, the BIOS won’t encounter problems with the password lengths, and the fan speed, temperature, and voltage information is now display correctly even after changing the duty cycles.

Moreover, the Visual BIOS has been updated to version 2.2.5, Serial Port option has been added under Onboard Device section, and the security level of certain UEFI variables has been increased.

That being said, if you are able to make use of these changes, download Intel DE3815TYKHE NUC Kit BIOS 0024 or download Intel DE3815TYBE NUC Board BIOS 0024 depending on which device you own, and apply the BIOS to latest version.
