Intel has recently released a new RST driver for its NUC products, which is supposed to fix the system hangs during audio playback in CS mode on the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Build 12.9.0.1001 also fixes the incorrect HDD information from Device Manager when SRT is enabled.

The new update consists of the RAID and AHCI versions of the Windows setup wizards, as well as of a package for pre-OS installation. Supported versions of the above-mentioned OS are 7, 8, and 8.1, on both 32- and 64-bit architectures.

Unfortunately, this release does not fix a few known issues, such as the system hang when trying to restart or go into S4 if SSHD is accelerated to max mode with iSCT loaded, or the UI sporadically crashing during volume delete operations.
