Intel has just released the 23.12.0-0013 flash package that is targeted at the 2208 ROC RAID controllers and modules that are using SAS software stack. This download record consists of an OS-independent file, but you should know that it doesn’t support EFI v1.1 environment.

Still, it can be installed under UEFI (EFI 2.0), Windows, Linux, and DOS platforms. If updated, the package installs the 3.240.25-2382 firmware, the 5.42.00 BIOS, and the 03.02.02.00 Hii, and a few other features as well.

As for fixes, the firmware benefits from Coverity resolved issues, SuperCap reliability and error recovery enhancements, as well as from the adjustment of the USB phy boost value for the Mars controllers (with IDs between 3510 and 3515).

Moreover, the BIOS has the long delay issue fixed, the OpROM is now getting relocated to runtime segment that has a 0xC0000 address, and the firmware version number is changed by one digit in the OpROM’s POST screen.

But these are just a few changes and fixes that the whole flash package brings to the 2208 ROC RAID controllers and modules. So, in order to see all the supported devices, as well as the entire list of fixes and improvements that will be installed, follow the link below and stay up to date.
