Intel has made available version 12.5.0.1066 of the Rapid Storage Technology RAID and AHCI drivers developed to work only on Intel’s desktop boards (the compatible products list is provided through each download page).

The newly released version fixes the BSOD error when loading RST driver on Windows 7, and the immediate standby command sending when entering sleeping state S4 (hibernation) on Windows 8.

Moreover, it resolves the problem where Smart Response Technology performed as an HDD in certain conditions, which was spotted on Windows 8 operating system as well.

Version 12.5.0.1066 is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 platforms, and consists of one driver and two F6 driver diskettes (one for each bit version), for each of the RAID and AHCI technologies.

The driver should be installed after the operating system has been set up, and the F6 driver diskette and RAID BIOS configurations must be performed before the driver’s installation.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list, choose the ones that best describe your system configuration.
