Intel has made available a new driver targeted at its graphics media accelerator 3600 series, namely version 8.0.4.1.1096, which is compatible only with the 32-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system.

This newly released package fixes the screen tearing that was encountered while navigating maps on Google Earth, but it still has some unresolved issues.

Specifically speaking, version 8.0.4.1.1096 won’t fix the sluggishness observed on Skype video conference, the Blu-ray playback corruption encountered on the popup window, or the playback problem seen with some H.264 clips.

The package includes support for systems containing one of Intel’s Atom D2500, D2550, D2700, N2100, N2600, and N2800 processors, and besides the obvious graphics driver (version 8.14.8.1096), this release also includes the 6.14.0.3081 HDMI audio driver.

That being said, download Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 Series Driver 8.0.4.1.1096, apply it, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
