Intel has just made available new PROSet/Wireless drivers targeted at some of its NUC kits, namely WiFi and Bluetooth versions 17.14.0 and 17.1.1411.01, respectively, compatible with DN2820FYKH, NUC5i3RYH, NUC5i3RYK, NUC5i5RYH, and NUC5i5RYK devices.

In terms of supported operating systems, the producer has provided separate packages for each 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 platforms. Even though they might work on other OSes as well, we don’t recommend doing so in order to avoid any malfunctions.

As for the changes, since Intel’s updates don’t come along with any Release Notes whatsoever, I can only assume that they might enhance overall stability as well as wireless performance. Still, you should apply them to discover what the improvements really are.

To do so, simply save and run the appropriate downloadable package for your system configuration, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation (applies for both WiFi and Bluetooth-related drivers).

In addition to that, make sure to allow the wizard to perform a system reboot after each update so that all changes can take effect properly. If this event isn’t requested, however, it would be a good idea to do a manual restart just to be sure.

In other words, you must download Intel NUC PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth Driver 17.1.1411.01, as well as download Intel NUC PROSet/Wireless Driver 17.14.0, apply them on your Next Unit Computing Kit, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
