Intel has just made available for download its latest Ethernet Connections CD, namely version 18.7, which is compatible with the currently supported versions of Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD, and contains all drivers and software for most of its Ethernet adapters.

After assuring support for the I354, I354 1.0 and 2.5 GbE Backplane connections through Ethernet Connections CD 18.6, Intel now adds the X520-Q1 and X520-4 converged network adapters, as well as the X540 Ethernet controller to the compatibility list.

However, you should know that not all Ethernet adapters and controllers are supported under every version of the aforementioned OSes. Moreover, the download record has quite a large file size being targeted at users who need all files for all devices in only one CD.

Therefore, if you only need the drivers and software for a specific operating system, make sure to download the OS-related package containing the files for that platform.

As for the compatible products, a complete list is provided through the CD’s download page, which you can view by following the link below. Afterwards, you can also hit the “Download” button, and get Intel’s latest release.
