Intel has outed a new BIOS package compatible with its DN2820FYKH next unit computing kit, namely version 0034, which enhances the device’s overall stability and performance by fixing a large number of issues.

Specifically speaking, the new update resolves the Management Engine (ME) and Wake on USB from S4/S5 improper behavior, fixes the wireless adapters connectivity strength, and updates the GOP (7.1.1005) and VBIOS (2.2.5) versions.

In addition to that, the NUC will not encounter any USB 3.0 and 2.0 compatibility problems, the fan speed, temperature, and voltage are now properly displayed in BIOS after changing the duty cycles, and bmp splash logos are displayed correctly.

Moreover, the TXE test won’t fail anymore, the Integrator Toolkit will be able to configure SMBIOS values, the system will work properly even if PXE Boot is the first boot device, and the absence of memory modules will now be signaled through appropriate error beeps or blinks.

Besides the obvious 0034 BIOS version, Intel’s release also applies TXE firmware 1.0.4.1089, Graphics and LAN option ROMs build 1007 and 2.59.083, respectively, as well as the 2.0.26 LAN UEFI driver and 2.3.1 UEFI revision.

Therefore, if you intend to install this release, download Intel DN2820FYKH NUC Kit BIOS 0034, apply the latest update on the NUC, and enjoy your newly-improved device.
