Intel has made available a new and improved BIOS version developed for its DN2820FYKH NUC kit (Next Unit Computing), namely build 0041, which fixes the fan speed control alert issue and the ACPI error.

Specifically speaking, with Intel DN2820FYKH BIOS 0040, the NUC would add for no reason an ACPI error in the Event Log after applying the USB 3.0 driver, as well as improperly display a fan speed control alert if the device doesn’t include any fan. These issues have now been fixed.

When it comes to installing this new BIOS, you should know that Intel has provided 4 downloadable packages that are to be used for different upgrade methods.

Firstly, we have the “FY0041.BIO” file that is designed to be used for the F7 BIOS Update method, as well as to recover the BIOS from an unusable state – requires a USB or CD drive.

Afterwards, there is the “FYBYT10H.86A.0041.BI.ZIP” archive that can flash a newer BIOS only in a DOS-based environment – requires a USB or CD as well.

Last but not least, without the need of a removable storage, users can download one of the two Express BIOS Update executables (one for each bit variant of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes), and run it from a Windows platform – most commonly used method.

Therefore, download Intel DN2820FYKH NUC Kit BIOS 0041, flash it on your NUC, and enjoy the benefits that this new release brings about.
