Intel has released a new BIOS version 0039 for its D2500CC desktop board that adds support for the ErP feature. The download record consists of three files, each describing a different update method.

The CC0039P.BIO file describes a recovery BIOS procedure, regardless of the operating system. The file is to be used in the event that the update fails or is interrupted, so that the board can exit that condition.

As for installing the 0039 version, the CCCDT10N.86A.0039.BI.ZIP (or Iflash BIOS) file can be used, which is a DOS-based update method, and only requires a CD or USB flash drive.

If that isn’t an option, the CCCDT10N.86A.0039.EB.EXE file must help. It is a Windows-based update procedure, and it’s also the most commonly used update method.

As for some recommendations, bear in mind that the update is required only if the board encounters a specific problem that the newer version resolves, and in addition, downgrading to an earlier version must be avoided and it could not be supported.

That being said, follow the link below, and from the list, pick up the one that best describes the update method that you want to use.
