Intel has just rolled out its 10.0.27 Chipset device driver which adds support for 6th generation Intel Core CPUs and Intel 100 Series chipset families, and include compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows 10 (both bit architectures).

In addition to that, the present release maintains support for 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes, 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2 operating systems, as well as for Microsoft’s Windows Server Threshold 64-bit.

When it comes to changes, Intel’s update added YBR for many BDX devices, removed some of the USB devices YBR (except for A22F), fixes CAT file path in MUP.xml, and includes compatibility with several Chipset and CPU family series (detailed in the Release Notes).

Still, bear in mind that branding won’t be possible in Windows 10 64-bit and Microsoft Windows 10 update platforms, and the 32-bit version of Windows 10 only supports certain Intel Atom, Celeron, and Pentium CPUs.

As for installation, first of all make sure you system configuration is valid for this release, save and unzip the downloadable archive, run “SetupChipset.exe” executable, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete upgrade.

Moreover, once the installation finishes, we recommend performing a reboot in order to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested and carried out automatically, it would be a good idea to do it manually.

That being said, download Intel Chipset Device Driver 10.0.27, apply it on your computer, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
