AMD releases version 8.92 driver for embedded graphics, XP supported

It's time to announce the release of the newest embedded graphics driver for AMD's GPUs, now at version 8.92.

These drivers will support Windows Vista and 7, but XP hasn't been left aside, despite some voices which claimed the imminent abandon of said operating system for the future versions.

Still, there are quite a lot of PCs running Windows XP and it's rather hard to believe that AMD will decide to end support for the old OS soon. Especially when it comes to the small-format motherboards with embedded graphics, it seems like XP is the OS of choice for most of them.

The  AMD Embedded GPU driver 8.92 supports the following products: E6760, E6460, E4690, E2400, the G-Series, Radeon HD 6970M, and Radeon HD5770. The two chipsets AMD 785E |SB8X0 and AMD 780E |SB 710 are also included on the list.

DirectX 10.1 and CrossFireX contribute to a better 3D experience and higher graphics performance in  the Windows environment.
