Just now, Fujifilm has released a new firmware package targeted at its X-E2 digital camera, namely version 2.00, which includes a few changes that improve the device’s overall performance, stability, and usability.

Specifically speaking, this fresh update shortens the display lag time for X-E2’s Electronic Viewfinder to an astonishing 0.005 seconds, and improves the viewfinder’s frame rate, which now maintains the highest values even in low light.

Through version 2.00, the Focus Peak Highlight function now benefits from blue and red colors in addition to the current white option. These settings can be adjusted between high and low, according to your preferences.

Moreover, two new functions are added to the four Fn (Function) buttons on the top and back, namely “Face Detection” and “EVF/LCD Setting” options, which can be selected in shooting mode.

In addition to that, the “Suppressed Flash” option that forbids the flash from firing even in low light can now be selected from the settings menu.

Last but not least, firmware 2.00 fixes an issue encountered in film simulation bracketing where the 3rd picture was saved as “ASTIA” instead of “PRO Neg. Hi.”

As for upgrading to this release, the installation steps are the same as for the previous Fujifilm X-E2 Camera Firmware 1.10; therefore, make sure you follow them properly.

That being said, download Fujifilm X-E2 Camera Firmware 2.00, apply the new version, and enjoy your newly improved digital unit. You can also check with our website constantly to be aware of the latest releases targeted at your device.
