14 DAY TRIAL // Besides outing its latest firmware versions for Fujinon Lenses today, Fujifilm has also made available several firmware packages targeted at various devices in its X Series lineup.
Specifically speaking, the producer has launched firmware 1.10 for its X-A1 and X-M1 digital cameras, version 1.20 and 2.20 targeted at the X-E2 and X-E1 units, respectively, as well as the 3.20 firmware compatible with its X-Pro1 digital device.
These newly released updates add (for said devices) compatibility improvements when using the Fujinon XF56mm F1.2 R, as well as AE and AF accuracy enhancements for the same lenses.
As for applying this latest version, simply get the downloadable .DAT file, copy it onto the root folder of a formatted memory card, and insert it into the camera (make sure that the battery is fully charged and no lenses are attached to the camera).
Now power on the unit while pressing the “Back” button, select “Ok” at the battery-related dialog, choose “Body” when the “Select Item” menu appears, and agree with all firmware upgrade pop-ups displayed.
While waiting for the camera to install the update, make sure you don’t remove the battery cover or the memory card, power off the unit, or play with its buttons – this might lead to an update failure that could cause serious damage to your device.
When the firmware has been applied and the “Firmware Upgrade Completed” is displayed, make sure you turn off the camera, remove the memory card, and check the currently installed firmware version in order to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.
