The updates add a new functionality giving users the ability to edit image file names

Fujifilm has just made available new firmware packages targeted at 4 of its digital cameras, namely version 2.10 and 3.10 for the X-E1 and X-Pro1 devices, respectively, as well as version 1.10 developed for the X100s and X-E2 cameras.

These updates include slightly different changes for each device. However, for all the targeted X series cameras, the producer has managed to improve the RAW file conversion function and to add a new functionality that allows users to change the images’ file names.

As for installing the new versions, just get the proper download package, copy it onto a memory card formatted by the camera, and insert it into the device (make sure it’s turned off and no lenses are attached to the body).

Now turn the camera on while pressing the “Back” button, confirm the item as “Body,” and press “Ok” in each of the firmware upgrade-related dialogs. When the process starts, a proper message will be displayed, and you must leave the camera for at least 90 seconds to do its job.

When the update process completes, a “Firmware Upgrade Completed.” message will be visible on the display, when you must turn off the camera and remove the memory card. You can also turn it back on and check the currently installed version to ensure that the process was successful.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Fujifilm X series camera, view all the changes that the related firmware brings, take into account the above-mentioned aspects, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
