Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at its XQ1 digital camera, namely version 1.10, which includes a few changes that should improve the device’s overall performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, this fresh update adds the “Suppressed Flash” option to the camera’s menu that can be selected when flash is enabled. This new feature basically resolves the issue where the flash would not fire on a subject even if it was poorly illuminated.

In addition to that, the release also fixes a problem encountered in rare cases where the camera’s image display performance would drop when connected to a smartphone, as well as the one regarding the gray lines that might appear in certain image areas while the XQ1 is attached to an Android device.

When it comes to installing the new version, you should know that it is a good idea to use a fully-charged battery and, while the upgrade is in progress, you mustn’t turn off the camera or use any of its buttons.

The update procedure isn’t intended to be destructive, still, you should ensure that you save any important data and configurations. This task takes around 90 seconds to complete, and when it finishes, some of the files from the previous version might not be restored.

That being said, download Fujifilm XQ1 Camera Firmware 1.10, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, apply the update, and enjoy your newly improved digital camera.
