AMD claims that the WHQL tag is the only thing missing

Goods news from the AMD camp as the second Catalyst driver for 2021 is now live. The manufacturer stresses that the 12.2 pre-certified Catalyst is the same driver like the one to be released with the official Microsoft certification

AMD notes that the WHQL-ed driver version will be made available to the public in late February or early March, so if you're that keen on installing "signed and stamped" drivers, you'll have to wait some more.

On the other hand, if you don't care that much about the WHQL tag, you can already download the AMD Catalyst 12.2 Pre-certified display driver and enjoy your life even more. 12.2 brings extended support for Radeon HD 7700 series, but only for Vista and Windows 7, both 32 and 64-bit editions.

Support for XP is announced for version 12.4 but we believe that Asder00 will have modded a lot of versions by that date.

The list of fixes and other enhancements is long and we're not going to burden you with such a hefty reading. You can read the full details in the download page for the AMD Catalyst 12.2 Pre-certified display driver.
