Fresco Logic has just made available a new USB 3.0 package targeted at its host controllers, namely version 3.5.108.0, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 operating systems.

However, in order to be clear, the producer’s FL1100SX (2-port) and FL1100EX (4-port) USB 3.0 host controllers are recommended to be used along with Microsoft’s Windows 8 and 8.1 platforms.

These two devices support UASP (USB Attached SCSA Protocol) that is an upcoming storage protocol, Link Power Management products which are automatically detected by the Fresco devices, as well as USB Debug Capability defined by xHCI specifications.

As for the producer’s other two host controllers, namely FL1000 (single-port) and FL1009 (dual-port) chips designed especially for notebook configurations, these devices are targeted at both bit architectures of the Windows XP, Vista, and 7 OSes.

When it comes to installing this release, simply ensure your computer is supported by the 3.5.108.0 update, and save and run the downloadable package on your local storage (might require administrator rights).

Now, click “Next,” read and agree with the License Agreement using the “Yes” button, select “Next” once more, and then “Install” to initiate the upgrade process. Also, upon completion, don’t forget to perform a system reboot if the installer doesn’t request it.

That being said, download Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver 3.5.108.0 for the appropriate device, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and keep checking our website in order to be up to speed with the latest releases.
