Will this release be AMD's final word before the end of the year?

Among the large number of beta, preview or performance drivers we've seen from AMD during the last two months, here is the 12th release for 2011, the long-awaited 11.12 Catalyst driver suite.

With all the fuss related to issues with Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Battlefield 3, we'd be inclined to hope that the AMD Catalyst Display Driver 11.12 has the needed fixes to make some further 2-3 potential "even more performant drivers" unnecessary. Nevertheless, probably no one will be suprised if such a thing occurs, eventually.

As with any Catalyst driver, the fixes' listing is long and you can find every minute modification in the new version reading the change log on the download page.

The major components of this driver suite are the display driver itself, now reaching version 8.92, a new revision for the Hydravision utility, new versions (the same 8.92) for both Control Center and the Vision Engine Control Center applications.

The Catalyst Display Driver 11.12 now brings support for OpenGL 4.2 and AMD HD3D technology, while a lot of fixes have been added for Eyefinity configurations. Download the AMD Catalyst Display Driver 11.12 from Softpedia and enjoy your computer more than before.
