Foscam has just made available a new firmware package developed for its FI9821W V2 camera, namely version 1.11.1.18, which improves the device’s overall performance and stability.

If updated, the camera will support ONVIF protocol, and it will be able to upload snapshots to an FTP server within a fixed time interval.

Moreover, the newly released version enhances the SD card management, improves Safari’s plug-in stability, and adds a friendlier web user interface. In addition to that, it resolves an issue with the port number and account settings in the multi-device window, and fixes a problem with the Hungarian login.

As for installing the firmware, make sure you restart the camera before initiating the upgrade, and connect the device to the router through an Ethernet cable – don’t update the camera using a wireless connection so that no problems are encountered.

That being said, follow the link below, download the package, and update your camera’s firmware version.
