The new firmware improves login password security level

A few moments ago, Foscam rolled out a new firmware package suitable for several of its network surveillance cameras, namely versions 11.37.2.65 and 11.35.2.65, which removes the MSN function, enhances DDNS feature, and improves overall login password security level.

In order to be clear about the compatible devices, Foscam has made available firmware 11.37.2.65 for its FI8910W, FI8910E, FI8916W, FI8918W, FI8918E, and FI8919W camera models.

Moreover, the producer has also provided software version 11.35.2.65 compatible with its FI8904W, FI8905W, FI8906W, FI8905E, FI8907W, FI8909W surveillance devices.

Either way, if you intend to upgrade your camera, first of all save and unzip the appropriate downloadable archive for your device model, reboot the imaging unit, and establish a wired connection between it and your computer.

Afterwards, log in to the administration panel, go to Settings > System > Upgrade Device Firmware, click “Browse,” navigate and select the sys-related .bin file (repeat process for WebUI firmware as well), and hit “Submit” button.
