Foscam has recently released a new firmware update for its FI9821P IP camera. Version 1.11.1.21 adds support for ONVIF, features such as uploading snapshots to FTP server in scheduled time, uploading scheduled recordings onto FTP server, or SD card management on web UI.

This update brings a friendlier, Internet Explorer 11-compatible user interface, as well as a PC “beep” sound when the alarm is triggered.

If you've decided to update, you'll first need to download Foscam FI9821P IP Camera firmware 1.11.1.21 and extract the contents of the archive.

Before starting the process, restart your camera, connect it to the router via Ethernet cable, and log in as administrator. Do not update via wireless connection or the Internet and please keep the power on during the installation.

After you access the web UI, click the “Settings” tab and then select “System Upgrade.” Browse for the “I3518A_ddr256M_sys_ver1.4.1.8.bin” file and start the update. The progress will be shown on the screen and, when the process completes, the camera reboots automatically.

Apply the same steps for the “FI9821P_app_ver1.11.0.26.bin” and “FI9821P_app_ver1.11.1.21.bin” files.

Finally, perform a version check by accessing the “Device Information” section. “System Firmware Version,” “Application Firmware Version,” and “Plug-In Version” should be 1.4.1.8, 1.11.1.21, and 2.0.1.8, respectively.

Get the latest firmware for Foscam FI9821P IP Camera, install it, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
