14 DAY TRIAL // Focusrite has recently updated the Scarlett MixControl application to version 1.6. Along with the software, the drivers and firmware are also part of the package. This release brings the Mac drivers to version 1.7 and the Windows ones to 2.5.
The package will update the firmware of the Scarlett 6i6, 8i6, 18i6, 18i8 and 18i20 to version 586.
Scrolling through the release notes, one can find that with this release the standalone mode on 18i8 and 6i6 is enabled and the problems with corrupted flash storage units or “Pad” graphics have been fixed.
Mac users will get improved sample rate switching as well as automatic stream format switching for the 18i20.
There is only one change exclusively for Windows users and that is with the "Control Panel" link in DAWs which now opens Scarlett MixControl.
