This release adds multiple updates to HDCP negotiation logic

Extron has recently released a new firmware update for its DVS 510 10 input scaling, presentation switcher, a product that accepts and scales DVI, RGB, HDTV, and standard definition signals to a common, high-resolution output rate.

Version 1.13 comes with fixes for the intermittent issue where the DVS 510 would permanently display black on the output if left on an inactive DVI input for an extended duration or for the one where DVI/HDMI sources may stop outputting video due to a failed EDID read from the unit.

Before I go any further, I must mention that this release can be installed only under Windows OS. Extron made the updating process as simple as possible by merging the firmware with a software that will safely guide you through the installation.

All you need to do to stay “updated one minute ago” is to download the new Extron DVS 510 video switch firmware 1.13, run it, and follow the instructions provided by the setup wizard.
